Top Ten TV Couples

I’ve given you my Top Ten TV Shows, and now I have my top ten tv couples!

1.Chloe and Lucifer (Lucifer)

Oh how I love the devil and the detective together. These two have had a long journey the past five seasons and it has been worth it.

2. Anne and Gilbert (Anne With an E

There’s just something about a love story set in the late 1800’s. The academic rivals to friends to lovers? Immaculate.

3.Chuck and Blair (Gossip Girl)

My problematic faves! I admit that they have their issues. In fact, I wrote a paper about how toxic teen drama relationships are and used them as an example. But I loved them and still do despite everything.

4. Nick and Jess (New Girl)

Sitcom couples don’t usually serve as much as dramas. Nick and Jess are the exception. Their first kiss? Can’t be topped.

5. Seth and Summer (The OC)

The popular girl and the nerdy guy? It serves from time to time. He named his boat after her. It can not be beat. They were the highlight of that messy show.

6. Nathan and Haley (One Tree Hill)

A couple who gets married their junior year of high school? Doesn’t happen in TV shows any more. Probably because they know Nathan and Haley are the only two who can pull that off. Getting to watch them have kids and make a life together is just superior. They don’t make TV like this anymore.

7. Amy and Jonah (Superstore)

Another sitcom couple! They haven’t gotten their endgame yet and actually one half of the ship has left the show. So they’re not doing to get right now but they still have a special place in my heart.

8. Austin and Ally (Austin & Ally)

My top Disney channel couple. I love that the writers gave us the flash forward to prove that they are happily married with two children. They don’t make kid shows like it anymore. (Or maybe I’m just not the key demographic any more)

9. Jess and Rory (Gilmore Girls)

The only couple on this list, other than Amy and Jonah, which the show isn’t technically over yet, that isn’t end game. It hurts me to this day. The writers are evil for forcing Rory to become an idiot character and giving up Jess. They don’t deserve them.

10. Adrien and Marinette/ Ladybug and Cat Noir (Miraculous Ladybug)

Okay, I lied earlier. They do still make kid shows like it. The four way love ship of two characters? Absolutely perfect.

And those are my top ten favorite tv couples! Do we have any of the same ones? Let me know!

Top Ten Movies

The dance scene in the Cinderella Story movie

I did a top ten tv shows list. Now I have for you my top ten movies!

1.Cinderella Story

I have probably watched this movie more times than I have any other movie. I can quote it, I can picture the scenes in my head. My name is Sam and the guy I liked in the fifth grade was Austin. I could be living out my very own Cinderella Story.

Peter Kavinsky in the movie To All the Book's I've Loved Before

2.To All the Boy’s I’ve Loved Before

My love for this movie rivals Cinderella Story. I mean my favorite book being turned into a movie? Can’t get better than that! I will be waiting for Netflix to release the third movie.

The robbery scene in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's

3.Breakfast at Tiffany’s

In my Top Ten TV Shows post, I mentioned that Gossip Girl introduced me to Audrey Hepburn movies. Breakfast at Tiffany’s was the first Audrey movie I watched and my favorite. I became obsessed with the Tiffany’s jewelry store and that very shade of blue.

4.La La Land

The Mia and Sebastian dance scene in the La La Land movie

My mom and I saw this in theatres four times. Everything from the music to the directing to the acting. The soundtrack still comes on shuffle four years later. The ending? A masterpiece.

The air port scene in the Love Rosie Movie

5.Love Rosie

Taylor Swift in the Miss Americana movie

A friends to lovers romance spanning almost thirty years? Pure art. It kick started my love of Sam Claflin and his beautiful face. Also we love a British accent.

6.Miss. Americana

Does a documentary about Taylor Swift count as a movie? To me, yes. It makes me cry, laugh and smile.

7.The Duff

Homecoming scene in the movie The Duff

They hadn’t made any good teen movies since the early 2000’s before this movie came out. And there haven’t been many since then. We need more teen movies that are good! It’s funny with out being vulgar or cringy and the romance is perfectly set up. What else can you ask for?

Ending scene in the Zootopia movie

I love Disney and Pixar movies. Sue me. Zootopia just makes me want a Bunny and a fox to be together. It also reminds me of my favorite show Lucifer.

Bryce realizing he likes Julie in the Flipped movie.

I’m thankful I saw this DVD in the clearance bin at Dollar General all those years ago. There’s something about the girl loving the boy, getting over the boy, then the boy loving the girl.

End scene in You've Got Mail movie.

10.You’ve got mail

The superior Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks movie!

And those are some of my favorite movies! Do we have similar faves? Let me know!

Top Ten TV Shows

Today I am going to talk about TV shows. Ahhh, TV. One of my first loves and obsessions. I can track what was going on in my life by what TV shows I was obsessed with at the time. Let’s list some of them!

Joey from friends.

1. Friends

My obsession with Friends started when I was just a little girl. I was born in 99, well into the ten year run of the sitcom. My parents loved watching it so I was introduced to it young. I remember watching the season eight finale, when Rachel had her baby, live. I got the tenth season on DVD for Christmas when I was five or six. It will forever be my comfort sitcom.

Sonny from Sonny With a Chance

2. Sonny With a Chance

Ahhhh, Sonny With a Chance. My first Disney Channel obsession. And the first TV show to let me down. I’ll never forgive Demi Lovato for going to rehab and not filming season three. Now I’ll never know if Sonny and Chad got back together. Le sigh. I can still quote every episode. I had a problem as a ten year old.

3. Pretty Little Liars

The Pretty Little Liars reacting to a text

I remember the first time I watched Pretty Little Liars. It was the summer before sixth grade and I was home alone. I flipped through the channels and stopped on what was still ABC Family. I watched the latter half of season one and the premiere of season two. Loved it so much I made my dad buy me the first season on DVD. The first three seasons we everything to me. Sadly, the show got bad after awhile but I will forever hold the first seasons in my heart.

Ally hugging Austin in Austin and Ally

4. Austin & Ally

My second Disney channel obsession! The show reminds me a lot of Sonny With a Chance and it could be the reason I liked it at the beginning. But after a while it became it’s own thing and is another comfort show for me.

Blair Waldorf eating a macaron.

5. Gossip Girl

Now we have one of the biggest obsessions. I went to FYE and they had the first season on DVD. The show had already finished airing at the time. I watched the first season and loved it. At the time Netflix wasn’t as popular so I actually had to go out and buy the DVDs. The feeling of waiting for after school to go buy season three is one I’ll never forget. I love this show so much that I’ve visited most of the spots from the TV show when ever I go to NYC. It also got me into Audrey Hepburn and headbands.

Christi from Dance Moms.

6. Dance Moms

My reality TV love! This show makes me happy when I think about it because it was one I watched with my dad. We loved watching it on Saturday nights and making fun of the moms. My dad and I bound over our TV shows and this was one I’ll always have fond memories of.

7. New Girl

Nick, Winston and Schmidt from New Girl.

Another comedy! This is one that is similar to friends. A group of friends live together and experience life and love together. The characters are so well thought out and just amazingly acted. I put it on when ever I just want to relax. I love my comfort characters.

8. Miraculous: The Adventures of Ladybug and Catnoir

Lady bug and Cat Noir

Ah a cartoon that is surprisingly complex. I first heard about this show my freshman year of college. I was in French class and a girl was talking about this cartoon she watches that helps her with her French. It was on Netflix so I thought might as well give it a try. Though I watched it in English so it didn’t help my French but I did love the show. I can’t explain why but there’s something about teenagers being super heroes and saving Paris and having innocent crushes that makes me happy.

Anne hitting Gilbert with her Slate

9. Anne With an E

Now we have my late 1800’s characters. I sadly have never read the Anne of Green Gables show but when I saw this show on Netflix, I had to watch it. I made my Grandma watched it and she also loved it. That’s a glowing recommendation.

10. Lucifer

My current obsession! We love a show that manages to be about the devil but feel like a family drama. I could go on and on about the show but I’m tired and all that truly needs to be said is watch it.

Rory and Lorelai.

Honorable mention because as I was finishing this I forgot about one! I also love Gilmore Girls. I don’t love it as much any more because the Netflix revival ruined the show for me but I will always love Rory Gilmore for giving me inspiration to study.

And those were some of my favorite TV shows! Do we have any in common? Did I inspire you to watch one? Let me know!
